Museum Amersfoort brings the city, its residents and visitors together. Through art, heritage and personal stories, we show how the past and the present – and the people of Amersfoort – are all interconnected.
The museum provides a space for stories from the past as well as stories from the present. Well-known stories, but also stories and perspectives that are sometimes still under-represented. In this way, we show how the city is changing and how different people experience Amersfoort.
To make this possible, we need the support of engaged visitors, businesses, trusts and partners. Below, you can read about how you can contribute.
Friends of Museum Amersfoort
Would you like to support the museum personally? Then become a Friend of Museum Amersfoort. As a Friend, you’ll be contributing to exhibitions, educational programmes and activities for young and old alike. You’ll also be helping to manage and preserve our collection. As a thank you, you’ll receive:
- The digital Friends’ newsletter
- An invitation twice a year to an exclusive Friends’ gathering. This might include a guided tour led by the curator or a talk on a special item in the museum’s collection.
Friend
You can become a Friend from € 50 per person per year. A Friendship for two people is possible from € 75 per year.

Museum Amersfoort works with companies, organisations and funds that want to connect with the city and its stories. Together we ensure that stories from the past and present remain visible and accessible to a wide audience. As a Sponsor, you make exhibitions, public activities, education and special projects possible. We would love to discuss the possibilities for cooperation and sponsorship.
Giving and bequeathing
You can also support Museum Amersfoort by making a donation or by including the museum in your will. In doing so, you will be making a valuable contribution to ensuring that Amersfoort’s heritage and stories remain accessible to future generations.

How to support the museum and benefit from the tax advantages of an ANBI donation
The Amersfoort in C Foundation, which oversees Museum Flehite, has ANBI status, meaning your donation may be tax-efficient. The Charitable Giving Act stipulates that donations to ANBIs are tax-deductible on your tax return, meaning you can claim a tax benefit on (part of) your donation. This is subject to the donation complying with the rules set by the Tax and Customs Administration. This way, you support the museum and benefit from the tax advantages of an ANBI donation.
