She knows how to reveal their true nature through the camera, even before it gradually disappears behind the mask of adulthood and its associated conventions.’
About the exhibition
Carla Kogelman: A Closer Look is a major retrospective exhibition of her work. The photographs capture vulnerable and pure moments in life. They explore growing up, identity and, at times, the inevitability of parting.
The exhibition offers space for joy, grief, playfulness, sport and cheerfulness: an overview of life itself, of both children and adults, told through photography.
The exhibition runs until 4 October 2026.
